25 companies have so far submitted applications for new gTLDS

ICANN revealed yesterday (Thursday 19 January 2012) that 25 companies have so far registered applications for a new TLD. However, they are staying tightlipped on who those companies are. "Until May 1 ICANN will not comment publicly about any specific application, the total number of applications received or who has submitted them." said a spokesperson yesterday.
