ICANN confirms 100 new gTLD successful applications

ICANN confirmed on 14 February 2012 that are 100 successful registrants in the online application systems for the new gTLDs. The deadline to register an application through the system is 29 March 2012, and any applications following this date will be unable to apply during the current round of applications.
The Internet community is eagerly awaiting the awarded names of the TLDs and registrant names, which is expected to be released in early May 2012, and until then ICANN will not publicly comment about any specific application.
